National Gold Cup Football finals to be held tomorrow

DHAKA, June 18, 2025(BSS)- Mymensingh division boys’ and girls’ teams reached finals in the national phase of National Gold Cup Football tournament (U-17 boys’ and girls’) eliminating their respective rivals in the semifinals held at Mohammadpur Govt. Physical Education College ground in the capital today (Wednesday).  

Both the boys’ and girls’ finals will be held tomorrow (Thursday) at National Stadium. Mymensingh division take on Rangpur division in the boys’ final at 4 pm following the girls’ final match between Mymensingh division and Rajshahi division at 2.30 pm.

State-owned Bangladesh Television and private settle channel T-Sports will provide live stream in both the finals. 

Meanwhile, in the day’s first boys’ semifinal match, Mymensingh division beat Sylhet division by exciting 5-4 goals in penalty shootout after the regulation time ended 2-2 draw.

While in boys’ second semifinal, Rangpur division defeated Khulna division by 4-2 goals in penalty shootout after the stipulated time ended 1-1 draw.

In the girls’ first semifinal, Mymensingh division confirmed their final spot beating Rangpur division by exciting 4-3 goals in penalty shootout after the stipulated time ended tame goalless draw while Rajshahi division edged past Sylhet division by 1-0 goal in the second semis to confirm their place of final.
