Final round of national men’s volleyball inaugurated 

DHAKA, June 26, 2025 (BSS)- The final round of national volleyball competition (30th men’s and 25th women’s) began at Shaheed Noor Hossain National Volleyball Stadium in the capital today (Thursday).

Faruque Hasan, president of Bangladesh Volleyball Federation (BVF) and board of trusty chairman of BGMEA University of Fashion and Technology formally inaugurated the meet as the chief guest.

Bangladesh Ansar and VDP director (sports and culture) Mirza Sifat-e Khoda was present as the special guest.  BVF vice president Md Masudul Haque, its general secretary Bimal Ghosh Bhulu, joint secretary Abdul Mumin Saddam and treasurer Imran Haider Kanchan, among others, were present at the inauguration ceremony.

On the first day of the men’s section matches, Bangladesh Navy beat Bogura district by 3-0 set while Bangladesh Power Development Board defeated Kushtia district by 3-0 set.

While in the women’s section match, Bangladesh Police beat Satkhira district by 3-0 set.

A total of ten teams of men’s section, split into three groups, and six teams of women’s section, divided into two groups, are participating in the five-day meet, organized by BVF. 
 
Participating men’s team:

Group A - Power Development Board, Dhaka, Kushtia and Rajshahi districts
Group B – Bangladesh Navy, Bangladesh Krira Shikkha Protisthan and Bogura district.
Group C – Bangladesh Air Force, Titas Gas and Transmission and Bangladesh Ansar and Village Defense Party.

Participating women’s football teams:
Group A - Bangladesh Ansar and Village Defense Party, Rajshahi and Jashore districts.   
Group B - Bangladesh Police, Chattogram and Satkhira districts.
