Bangladesh U-18 Hockey teams ready for Asia Cup 2025

DHAKA, June 28, 2025 (BSS) - The Bangladesh National Under-18 Men's and 
Women's Hockey Teams are set to participate in the upcoming Men's and Women's 
U-18 Asia Cup 2025, scheduled to take place in Dazhou, China from July 3 to 
14.

Bangladesh Hockey Federation (BHF) organised a jersey unveiling, photo 
session and "Meet the Press" event for the Teams at the Falcon Hall of 
Bangladesh Air Force (BAF) in the city today.
 
Chief of Air Staff of Bangladesh Air Force and President of Bangladesh Hockey 
Federation (BHF) Air Chief Marshal Hasan Mahmood Khan attended the programme 
as the chief guest.

Ten other Asian teams-- Pakistan, China, Sri Lanka, Hong Kong China, 
Malaysia, Japan, Chinese Taipei, Uzbekistan, Indonesia and Kazakhstan-- will 
be participating in the tournament. 

Bangladesh achieved the Runners-up position in the last edition of this 
tournament, held in Bangladesh in 2016.
 
This time, the Federation is hopeful for a good result. Bangladesh National 
Under-18 Women's Hockey team will be participating in the U-18 Asia Cup for 
the first time.

In his speech, the BAF chief advised the players to maintain discipline while 
abroad. 

He instructed playing with discipline, team cohesion and coordination.
 
The BHF President also inspired the players to give their best in every game, 
but effort and dedication are the keys. Finally, he extended his sincere 
gratitude to everyone. 

Other officials from Bangladesh Air Force and Bangladesh Hockey Federation 
were also present.
