Kings extend lead in BFL

DHAKA, Dec 12, 2025 (BSS)- Bashundhara Kings extended their lead in the Bangladesh Football League (BFL) defeating ten men Mohammedan Sporting Club by 2-0 goals held at Bashundhara Kings arena in the capital today (Friday).

The early breakthrough came for Kings when forward Rakib Hossain scored the first goal in the 15th minute.

After the resumption, Brazilian forward Dorielton sealed the victory scoring the second goal for Kings in the 90+1st minute of the match.

Mohammedan's Uzbek midfielder Muzaffar Muzaffarov was shown direct red card by the referee for his unsporting behaviour in the 90+4th minute. 

With this win, Bashundhara Kings maintained their domination in the league table with 16 points playing six matches while the traditional black and white Motijheel outfit, who stand fourth position in the league table, remained with their previous collection of seven points playing the same number of outings.

In the remaining sixth round matches to be held tomorrow Saturday, Fakirerpool Young Men's Club will play against Abahani Limited Dhaka at Shaheed Miraj-Tapan Stadium in Manikganj while PWD Sports Club face Bangladesh Police Football Club at Shaheed Barkat Stadium in Gazipur.
