IM Fahad splits point with his Russian rival

DHAKA, June 3, 2026 (BSS)- International Master Mohammad Fahad Rahman of 
Bangladesh secured a draw, while Grandmaster Niaz Murshed suffered a defeat 
in the 6th round of the Open section of the Asian Individual Chess 
Championship currently held in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia today (Wednesday).

In the sixth-round games IM Mohammad Fahad Rahman drew with FIDE Master 
Vladimir Maslovskiy of Russian. GM Niaz Murshed lost to GM Xu Yi of Chine in 
this round. 

After six rounds, IM Mohammad Fahad Rahman has scored three points, while GM 
Niaz Murshed collected 2.5 points.
