NARAIL, April 13, 2025 (BSS) - The Department of Agricultural Extension (DAE) today distributed high-yielding (Ufshi) variety Aush seeds, jute seeds and chemical fertilizers among 3,400 farmers in Sadar upazila under the "Agricultural Incentive Programme" to increase the Aush production in the Kharif-1 season.

Seeds of BR-48 and BR-98 varieties of Ufshi Aush, BJRI Tosha Jute-8 variety jute seeds and chemical fertilizers were distributed among the small and marginal farmers at a function this afternoon at the Sadar Upazila Agriculture Office premises. 

Sadar Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) Sanchita Biswas attended the function as the chief guest with Sadar Upazila Agriculture Officer agriculturist M Rokonuzzaman in the chair.

Deputy Assistant Agriculture Officer BM Zahid Shakil was also present.

A total of 2,200 farmers in Sadar upazila were given five kilograms of Aush paddy seeds, 10-kg of Diammonium Phosphate (DAP) fertilizer and 10-kg of Muriate of Potash (MOP) fertilizer, and 1,200 farmers were given one-kg of BJRI Tosha Jute-8 variety jute seeds, five-kg of DAP fertilizer and five-kg of MOP fertilizer.
