Virtual meeting held between EPB and Lulu Hypermarket (UAE) on sourcing opportunities

DHAKA, July 17, 2025 (BSS) - A virtual meeting was held today between the Export Promotion Bureau (EPB) and Lulu Hypermarket (UAE) to explore sourcing opportunities for Bangladeshi products.
 
EPB Vice Chairman Md. Anwar Hossain presided over the meeting.
 
The meeting focused on the potential sourcing of Bangladeshi products, including fresh fruits, vegetables, meat and seafood, electronics and home appliances, as well as kitchen and household goods by Lulu Hypermarket.
 
The representatives of Lulu Hypermarket reaffirmed their commitment to deepening trade collaboration with Bangladesh and announced plans for a high-level delegation to visit the country in mid-September 2025 for further discussions.
 
Senior officials, including Md Rashedujjaman, Consul General of Bangladesh in the United Arab Emirates, and Ashish Kumar Sarkar, Commercial Counselor, as well as the Director General and Directors of the EPB, also participated in the virtual meeting.
 
This engagement reflects a promising step towards strengthening bilateral trade and expanding the presence of Bangladeshi products in international retail chains.
