AstraZeneca quarterly net profit jumps on record US growth

LONDON, July 29, 2025 (BSS/AFP) - British pharmaceutical giant AstraZeneca on Tuesday said net profit jumped 27 percent in the second quarter, boosted by record growth in its key US market.

Profit after tax rose to $2.45 billion in the three months to the end of June, the company said in an earnings statement, following its recently announced multi-billion-dollar investment in the United States.
