Committee formed to examine merger of six investment bodies

DHAKA, Nov 13, 2025 (BSS) – The government has formed a committee to examine and verify the proposal of the unification of six distinct investment-related bodies that was raised by Bangladesh Investment Development Authority (BIDA). 

The bodies are BIDA, Bangladesh Export Processing Zone Authority (BEPZA), Bangladesh Economic Zones Authority (BEZA), Bangladesh Hi-Tech Park Authority (BHTPA), Public Private Partnership Authority (PPPA) and Bangladesh Small and Cottage Industries Corporation (BSCIC).

This significant decision was reached during the BIDA third meeting of the Governing Board to consider the proposal for the amalgamation of investment-related institutions.
