Global climate strike programme held at RU

RAJSHAHI, Nov 14, 2025 (BSS) - Various student organizations today observed global climate strike programmes at Rajshahi University (RU) campus with the call for ensuring climate protection together with enhancing fuel security.

They also unequivocally called for stopping funding to fossil fuel, expanding renewable energies, enhancing investment in sustainable agriculture and necessary financial incentives.

Youth in Research and Action for Social Change (YOUREACH) organized the programme supported by ActionAID and Climate Frontier. 

Various other organizations, including Green Voice and Red Crescent Society also joined the programme raising voice for ensuring climate justice.

YOUREACH Founder Mehedi Hassan said they want to establish a habitable global future through building a sustainable earth. The climate-aware present youths want to reach their voice to the leaders and policy-makers in home and abroad.
