
DHAKA, Jan 14, 2026 (BSS) - The Federation of Bangladesh Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FBCCI) today organized a doa mahfil for seeking eternal peace of the departed soul of former Prime Minister Begum Khaleda Zia.
The milad mahfil , which took place at the FBCCI Auditorium following the Asr prayer, was attended by a wide range of business leaders and officials, said a press release.
Notable attendees included FBCCI Administrator Md Abdur Rahim Khan, and former presidents M A Kashem and Mir Nasir Hossain.
They were joined by former vice-presidents, former directors, members of the general council, and leaders from various chambers and associations, alongside FBCCI staff.
At the milad mahfil, business leaders reflected on the career and milestones of Begum Khaleda Zia, specifically honoring her legacy as the first female Prime Minister of Bangladesh.
The religious proceedings, including the Doa and Munajat, were led by Maulana Mortuza Hasan Chowdhury, the Khatib of Gulshan Society Jame Mosque.
