MUNSHIGANJ, May 30, 2024 (BSS) - Md Awlad Hossain was elected chairman for Sirajdikhan upazila Parishad unofficially in the 3rd phase of 6th upazila Parishad election held yesterday.

The result was declared at around 10:30 pm at Sirajdikhan upazila Parishad auditorium.

Md Awlad Mridha secured 46190 votes while his rival candidate Moinul Hasan Nahid bagged 42018 votes.

Mir Mosharrof Hossain Sumon was elected as Vice Chairman and advocate Tahmina Akter Tuhin elected as Mohila Vice Chairman in the upazila election.

A total of 118712 voters cast their votes at 96 centers in the upazila peacefully yesterday.
