JAMALPUR, June 6, 2024 (BSS) - Md Rafiqul Islam has been unofficially elected
chairman of Sarishabari upazila held here yesterday.

Election Office sources said, in the fourth phase of sixth upazila Parishad
election, Md Rafiqul Islam (pineapple symbol) got 42,213 votes. His only
competitor Md Taleb Uddin (inkpot-pen) got 19,147 votes.

Besides in the election Al Amin got 32,701 votes and elected Vice-chairman.
His only rival candidate Md Golam-Mostafa bagged 28,655 votes.

On the other hand Mst Mahmuda Khatun elected Woman Vice-chairman got 41,543
votes. Her only contestant Mst Zeli Aktar got 19,603 votes.
