MANIKGANJ, Jan 4, 2025 (BSS) - Ferry movement on the Paturia-Daulatdia route resumed this morning after 6:30 hours of suspension due to dense fog, Bangladesh Inland Water Transport Corporation (BIWTC) sources said.

BIWTC Deputy General Manager (DGM) Nasir Mahmud Chowdhury said the ferry movement was suspended at Paturia-Daulatdia route at 11pm on Friday due to dense fog blanketed the river bed disrupting the visibility.

At that time five ferries were waiting at the Paturia Ghat 3 ferries at Daulatdia and one in the middle of the Padma.

The ferry movement, however, resumed at 5:30 am this morning, BIWTC sources said.
