Structural plan important for Khulna's development

KHULNA, Jan 22, 2025 (BSS)- Khulna University (KU) and Khulna Development Authority (KDA) can work together for sustainable development of Khulna.

As making structural plans and close-coordination among all the line departments has become crucial, the KU and KDA can come forward and work together as there are enormous scopes in this context . 

These were revealed when the newly appointed KDA Chairman Brig Gen Muhammad Jahangir Hossain made a courtesy call on KU Vice-chancellor Prof Rejaul Karim at the latter’s office here today. 

Welcoming the KDA Chairman Prof Rejaul Karim said KU and KDA have scopes for working jointly in different fields for development of Khulna. KDA adopts and implements different plans and teachers of KU can play vital role towards implementing the plans and projects successfully, he added. 

He also called for arranging awareness programmes related to the importance of making structural plans, inter-department coordination and activities and achievements of the project adopted by KDA for successful development of Khulna.

Besides, he sought cooperation of KDA for recovering the existing canals for resolving water-logging problems in KU.

Prof Karim assured KDA of giving all possible cooperation for Khulna's development.  

KU Pro-vice-chancellor Prof Harunor Rashid, Treasurer Prof Nurunnabi, Dean of Management and Business Administration Prof Sheikh Mahmudul Hassan, Planning and Development Director Prof Kazi Saiful Islam and Students Welfare Director Prof Nazmus Sadat were present on the occasion.
