Smuggled goods worth Tk 8.5 lakh seized in Satkhira

SATKHIRA, Feb 20, 2025 (BSS) - Members of Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) seized smuggled Indian goods worth about Taka 8.5 lakh from different frontier areas of the district today.

Based on intelligence information, BGB team conducted drives in different frontier areas of Sadar and Kalaroa upazilas of the district and seized the Indian goods worth about Taka 8.5 lakh, said Satkhira BGB-33 Battalion Commander Lieutenant Colonel Ashraful Haque.

The smuggled goods are Indian saree, medicine and burqa.

He further said that the process of depositing the seized Indian goods at Satkhira Customs is under process.
