Miscreants killed a youth in Savar

SAVAR, Mar 19, 2025 (BSS) -A young man was hacked to death by miscreants at CRP dagarmora area under Savar municipality here on Tuesday over previous enmity.  
                                                                                                                                                            The deceased is Sultan Hossain Sagar, 22, a paint worker in Savar area, son of Taslim Uddin hailed from Majirga village under Ramganj upazila of Noakhali district.

The incident took place at CRP Dagarmora under Savar municipality at 11:30pm.

Police said Sagar was called by his friend Shafique from his residence around 11pm. Where Shafique hacked Sagar haphazardly with lethal weapons after that along with his cohorts he flees.

Subsequently, local people rushed Sagar at nearby hospital and the on duty doctor pronounced him dead. Then police recovered the body and sent it to morgue for autopsy.

Sagar had an enmity with Shafique. . . and Shafique threaten Sagar several times in past and it likely to be a reason behind the killing, said Officer in Charge (OC) of Dhaka north detective Branch (DB) police Jalal Uddin.

DB and Savar Model police station are jointly working to unearth the mystery behind the killing, said detective branch OC.
