Three including father, daughter killed in Jashore road mishap

JASHORE, Mar 19, 2025 (BSS) -Three persons including father and daughter of a family were killed and two other injured in a road accident on Jashore-Benapole highway in Jikorgacha upazila of the district this morning.

The deceased were identified as Hasan Iqbal, 45, hailed from Bamnali village under Jikargacha upazila and his daughter Ratna Khatun, 11, and Nazma Khatun, 50, wife of Meher Ali hailed from Gadkhali area of the district.

"The accident occurred around 7:30 am when a van collided head-on with a ambulance, leaving three people dead on spot" Inspector of Navaran Highway police outpost, Jashore, Rokonuzzaman told BSS.  

The two injured were rushed to Jikargacha health complex, he added.
