Export-import thru Hili Port to remain closed for 9 days from Mar 29

DINAJPUR, March 19, 2025 (BSS) - Export-import activities between Bangladesh and India through the Hili Land Port will remain suspended for straight nine days from March 29 on the occasion of Eid-ul-Fitr and weekly holidays.


However, the movement of travelers with valid passports and visas between the two countries through the Hili immigration check post will remain normal, said Nazmul Haque, general secretary of the Hili Land Port Import-Export Group, Dinajpur today.


He said that import-export activities with India will remain closed at the land port from March 29 to April 5 on the occasion of Eid-ul-Fitr.


Import-export activities will resume on April 6 (Sunday), said Hili Land Port Import-Exporters Association President Sakhawat Hossain Shilpi.
 

Officer-in-Charge of Hili Immigration Check Post Inspector Md. Ariful Islam said although import-export activities are closed at Hili Land Port on the occasion of the holy Eid-ul-Fitr, immigration of the travelers having valid passports and visas of the two countries will continue through the immigration check post.
