RANGPUR, April 8, 2025 (BSS) - Rangpur district and metropolitan units of Jatiyatabadi Chhatra Dal (JCD) have jointly staged a protest rally against the Israeli genocide in Gaza.

In protest, they brought out a protest procession from the Press Club premises that passed through the city's Jahaz Company intersection, City Bazar, and ended at the Town Hall square this afternoon. A short rally was held there.

Speaking at the rally, leaders of the two JCD chapters strongly condemned killings of innocent Palestinians including women and children and human rights violations.
 
They called on the world community to come forward to stop the genocide immediately.

Leaders and activists of different educational institution units of JCD attended the programme.
 
Rangpur district unit convener Sharif Newaz Johar presided over the rally.

Rangpur district Jubo Dal president Nazmul Islam Naju, Metropolitan Jubo Dal senior joint convener Jahir Alam Nayan, Metropolitan JCD convener Imran Khan Sujan and member secretary Rabiul Islam Robi, among others, addressed the rally.
 
Meanwhile, JCD's Begum Rokeya University, Mahiganj College and Rangpur Government College units also held marches and rallies on their respective campuses in protest against Israel's brutalities.
