Scouting helps to make disciplined and peaceful life: scout leaders

RANGPUR, April 8, 2025 (BSS) – Scout leaders at a post-rally discussion today said that scouting always helps the youngsters to build a disciplined and peaceful life inspired by the spirit of wisdom, perseverance and human qualities.
 
They expressed the view at the discussion arranged in observance of the fourth Bangladesh Scouts Day- 2025 with the theme 'Courageous and Responsible Future Generation' at the District Scouts Building in the city.
 
On this occasion, the Rangpur district unit of Bangladesh Scouts brought out a rally on the city streets, and organized various programmes including hoisting of the national flag and quiz competitions and distributed prizes.
 
District Scout Commissioner Md. Mahbubar Rahman presided over the discussion participated by the Cub Scouts, Scouts and Rover Scouts and Unit leaders of various educational institutions of the city.
 
Scouts Leader Trainer Md. Siddiqur Rahman, Assistant Director of Bangladesh Scouts Sudhir Chandra Barman, Executive Magistrate Tarek Hasan Tahsin, District Scout Secretary Md. Abdur Rahim spoke, among others. 
 
The speakers said the young students should take part in scouting along with pursuing academic and other extra-curricular activities for developing themselves as honest, worthy and patriotic citizens. 
 
Siddiqur Rahman said the disciplined and systematic life of scouts can play a crucial role to build a knowledge-based enlightened society free from drugs and all sorts of social curses.
 
Mahbubur Rahman said, scouting contributes to the physical, intellectual, social, spiritual and mental development of boys and girls and scout participants can live as responsible citizens, members of the national and international community. 
 
“The aim of the scouting method and the scout movement is to develop teenagers as trustworthy, honest, virtuous and disciplined and ideal citizens who are selflessly dedicated to serving the society and suffering humanity,” he said.
