Khulna JCD, ICS for ending crimes against humanity in Gaza

KHULNA, April 8, 2025 (BSS) - In protest to brutal genocide on the Gaza by the occupied Israeli forces, Khulna city unit Jatiyatabadi Chhatradal (JCD) and Islami Chhatrashibir (ICS) separately brought out procession and staged rally in the city today in solidarity with the people of Palestine.

Thousands of JCD men brought out a protest procession from the city's Shibbari intersection around 11am. Earlier, different college units JCD men assembled at the Shibbari point to attend the procession.

After parading different streets, the protesters returned to the power house intersection, where the demonstration concluded with a protest rally.

The JCD leaders expressed grave concern over the brutal genocide by Israeli occupied forces on Palestine civilians-particularly women and children and the indiscriminate destruction in Gaza.

They called all the Muslims countries to be united against the Israeli forces in Gaza.

Ex-member secretary of city unit JCD Md Tazim Biswas presided over the rally while ex-joint conveners of city unit JCD Arifur Rahman Arif, Hasan Mahmud, Sayed Imran and Hedaetullah Dipu, among others, addressed.

Meanwhile, Khulna City unit Islami Chhatra Shibir brought out a protest procession from Dakbangla square that paraded different streets in the afternoon.

Before beginning the procession, a protest rally was held with Jamaat-e-Islami city unit assistant secretary and ex-city unit President of ICS Sheikh Zahangir Alam addressed as the chief guest.

Chaired by the city unit ICS President Arafat Hossain Milon, the rally was addressed, among others by, ICS secretary Rakib Hasan, ex-ICS President Zahedur Rahman Nayeem, district unit ICS President Abu Yousuf Fakir and Secretary Elias Hossain.

Sheikh Zahangir Alam called on the Muslim community to immediately stop the heinous crimes against humanity committed by Israel in Gaza.
