JHENAIDAH, April 9, 2025 (BSS) - Three youths were killed and three others injured in a tragic road accident at Krishnachandrapur under Maheshpur upazila of the district on Tuesday evening.

The deceased were Bidhan Kumar Roy, 17, son of Mungla Roy and Rajaram Babu, 20, son of Badal Roy, both from Krishnachandrapur village and Samaul Islam, 19, son of Hamidul Islam of Alampur village of the upazila.

The accident took place on the Kaliganj-Jibannagar road around 8 pm when two motorbikes collided head-on, leaving bike riders Bidhan and Babu dead on the spot and four others injured, said Faiz Uddin Mridha, Officer-in-Charge of Maheshpur Police Station.

The injured were taken to Kotchandpur Upazila Health Complex. Later they were transferred to Jashore General Hospital where Samaul succumbed to his injuries at midnight.
