PATUAKALI, April 9, 2025 (BSS) – An auto-rickshaw driver was killed when his vehicle overturned and fell into a roadside ditch in Pyadar Bazar area under Kalapara upazila of the district this morning.

The deceased was Jahangir Howlader, son of Khalek Howlader, a resident of Londa village of the upazila.

The accident occurred around 9.30 am when the battery-run auto rickshaw fell into a roadside ditch as its driver lost control of the vehicle, said Jewel Islam, Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Kalapara Police Station.

Critically injured Jahangir was taken to Kalapara Upazila 50-bed hospital, where on-duty doctors declared him dead.
