HABIGANJ, May 12, 2025 (BSS) - A man was killed today in a lightning strike at Sujanpur village under Lakhai upazila of the district.
The deceased was identified as Azgar Ali, 60, son of Mohammad Mia, a resident of the village.
Lightning, followed by a rainstorm, struck Azgar this afternoon while he was grazing cows in a nearby haor, said Bande Ali Mia, Officer-in-Charge of Lakhai Police Station.
He died on the spot.
