Schoolboy killed in Tangail road accident

TANGAIL, May 12, 2025 (BSS) - A schoolboy was killed in a road accident in the Kulia Jamalpur Mosque Road area under Ghatail upazila of the district this morning.

The deceased, Al Amin, 6, son of the late Mahmud Ali, was a resident of Khilpara village in the upazila. He was a class one student at Birahimpur Government Primary School.

The accident occurred around 11:30 am when a battery-run auto-rickshaw hit the boy from behind while he was crossing the road.

Critically injured, Al Amin was taken to Ghatail Upazila Health Complex, where the on-duty doctor declared him dead.

Officer-in-Charge of Ghatail Police Station Md. Rakibul Islam confirmed the incident, saying the body was handed over to his family.
