BOGURA, May 13, 2025 (BSS) - A motorcyclist was killed in a head-on collision with a CNG-run auto-rickshaw at Komorpur area in Bogura Sadar last night.

The deceased was identified as Shakil Mia, 22, son of Abdul Karim from Uttar Sat Shimulia village in sadar upazila of the district.

According to locals, the incident occurred around 9pm in the area when an auto-rickshaw collided with Shakil's motorcycle from the opposite side, leaving him critically injured on the spot.

Immediately, locals rushed Shakil to Shaheed Ziaur Rahman Medical College Hospital, where on-duty doctors declared him dead at 10.50pm.

Assistant Sub-Inspector (ASI) Lalon Hossain of the Chilimpur Medical Outpost confirmed the incident, stating that the body has been sent to the hospital morgue for autopsy.

Following the legal procedures, the body will be handed over to the family, he added.
