Youth dies in Cumilla lightning strike

CUMILLA, May 13, 2025 (BSS) - A youth was killed in a lightning strike at Fazilpur village under Barpara Union in Sadar Dakshin upazila today.
The deceased was identified as Md Sharif, 22, son of Kamal Hossain of the same area.

According to Sub-Inspector (SI) Md Nazrul Islam of Cumilla's Sadar Dakshin Police Station, a thunderbolt struck Sharif around 10:30am while he was collecting mangoes. He died on the spot.
