DINAJPUR, May 13, 2025 (BSS) – The Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) today filed two separate cases against Awami League (AL) leader Biswajit Ghosh Kanchan and his wife Chandona Ghosh on charges of acquiring illegal wealth beyond known sources of income.

ACC Deputy Director Md Ataur Rahman filed the cases with Dinajpur ACC office.

In an inquiry, the country’s only anti-graft watchdog has found assets in the name of Kanchan and his wife which they did not show in their wealth statements submitted to the Commission.

They amassed the assets by misusing the power while the Awami League was in power.
