Manikganj, May, 13, 2025 (BSS) - People of Teota under Shibabalaya Upazila in the district formed a human chain today demanding steps by the authorities to prevent untimely Jamuna River erosion in the area.

Several hundred people from all walks of life, including who lost their lands and houses joined the protest.

He urged the government to take permanent measures to build embankment from Daulatpur to Shibabalaya to save the houses, lands and roads including Schools, Madrasa, Teota Union Parishad office, bazaar and the Teota Zamindar house.
