NETROKONA, May 19, 2025 (BSS) - A 12-year old boy died after being
electrocuted in Singha Charigaon Para village of Bakaljora union under
Durgapur upazila of the district last night.
The deceased was identified as Rocky, son of Kamal Mia, an auto-rickshaw
driver of the area.
The boy was electrocuted immediately after getting in contact with an auto-
rickshaw that connected to the electric line while charging its battery, said
Mahmudul Hasan, officer-in-charge (OC) of Durgapur Police Station.
Family members rescued the boy and took him to the Upazila Health Complex
where the on-duty doctor declared him dead.
