BGB seizes Indian smuggled goods of Tk 2.47 cr

JASHORE, May 19, 2025 (BSS) - Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) today seized different Indian smuggled goods worth about Taka 2.47 crore from different points of borders in Benapole and Hijli areas.

On tips-off, BGB teams raided in different points of border areas and seized liquor, phensedyl, sarees, three-pieces, torchlight, tobacco, blankets, transmitter equipments, fire equipments, current nets, cigarette, chocolates, medicines and cosmetics, said BGB 49 Battalion Commander Lieutenant Colonel Saifullah Siddique.

But, no one has been arrested in the drives, he added.
