LAKSHMIPUR, May 20, 2025 (BSS) - One person was killed and three others were injured in a collision between a truck and an auto-rickshaw in the Karaitala Bazar area on the Lakshmipur-Ramgati regional road this morning.

The deceased was identified as M Rafiqullah, 38, son of Nurul Amin, a resident of Charfalkan under Kamalnagar upazila.

Rafiqullah and other passengers were travelling towards Lakshmipur from the Charfalkan area in an auto-rickshaw when a speeding truck coming from the opposite direction hit the vehicle at Karaitala Bazar, leaving four people injured, said M Towhidul Islam, Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Kamalnagar Police Station.

Critically injured Rafiqullah died on the way to Sadar Hospital.

A case has already been filed in this regard.
