Motorcyclist killed in Narail road accident

NARAIL, May 22, 2025 (BSS) - A motorcyclist was killed and two others injured in a road accident at Doa-Mallikpur area under Lohagara upazila in the district last night.

The deceased was identified as Salman Mallik, 20, son of Shahid Mallik of Doa-Mallikpur village under Lohagara upazila.

According to police and family members, Salman and two others were returning to their village from Lohagara on a motorcycle when the vehicle lost control and hit a road roller in front of the residence of Azizur Doctor around 8pm. All three riders sustained critical injuries in the collision.

Later, they were rushed to the Lohagara Upazila Health Complex, where on-duty doctor declared Salman dead. The two injured co-riders are currently undergoing treatment at the hospital.

The body will be handed over to the family following the completion of legal formalities, said Shariful Islam, Officer-in-Charge of Lohagara Police Station.
