Three held with 10 kg hemp in Khulna

KHULNA, May 22, 2025 (BSS) - Police arrested three alleged drug peddlers and seized 10 kilograms of hemp during a raid at Biswa Road area of Sachibunia in the city on Wednesday night.

According to Assistant Commissioner (Media) of Khulna Metropolitan Police Khondokar Hossain Ahmmad, the operation was carried out by a team from Labonchara Police Station following a tip-off.

The arrested individuals include a woman named Aleya, 60, wife of Mozibor Molla; Ruhul Amin, 30, son of Mokbul Hossain - both residents of Aichgati village in Rupsha upazila and Anwar Hossain Sohag, son of the late Amzad Hossain, from Dolkhola area of the city.

Police also seized two mobile phones from their possession. The detainees are currently under interrogation.

A case has been filed with Labonchara Police Station in connection with the incident.
