6 juvenile gang members arrested in Chandpur

CHANDPUR, July 10, 2025 (BSS) - The joint forces arrested six members of a juvenile gang with country-made weapons from Hamidia Jute Mills area in Hajiganj upazila of the district early this morning.

The arrested were identified as Rabiul Ahmed, 21, Mainuddin Khan, 25, Billal Kazi, 24, Kazi Palash, 20, Hridoy Hossain, 23 and Shafiqul Islam, 22, residents of the same area.

On a tip-off, a joint force team conducted a drive in the area around 3 am and arrested the members of the gang with four knives, a Chinese axe and three locally made weapons, said Lt. Manjurul Hasan Khan, operational officer of Chandpur Army Camp.

The detainees, along with the seized weapons were handed over to Hajiganj Police Station for further legal proceedings.
