Mirza Abbas leaves for Bangkok for eye treatment

DHAKA, Aug 19, 2025 (BSS) - BNP standing committee member Mirza Abbas today left the capital for Bangkok to undergo treatment of his eyes.

He will receive treatment at Rutnin Eye Hospital in Bangkok. His wife Afroza Abbas and son Mirza Yasir Abbas are accompanying him.

He departed Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport (HSIA) at 11:15am on a Bangladesh Biman flight, said BNP media cell member Sairul Kabir Khan.

Mirzanur Rahman, personal assistant to Mirza Abbas, said his operation will be held after two days.

The family of Mirza Abbas sought doa for his quick recovery.
