JU alumni form Jabian Club Limited

JAHANGIRNAGAR UNIVERSITY, Dec 6, 2025 (BSS) - Former students of Jahangirnagar University (JU) have officially formed Jabian Club Limited, following government approval issued on November 6 this year.

The organisation is the first registered club formed by JU graduates. 

Dr Fahmida Akter Khatun of the 10th batch is serving as the club's president, while Group Captain (Retd.) Abu Hena Md Ameerul Ahsan, also from the 10th batch, is acting as the general secretary, said a press release signed by General Secretary Group Captain (Retd.) Abu Hena Md Ameerul Ahsan tonight.

The founding directors held their first official meeting on Friday (Dec 5) at the club office in Dhaka, in compliance with government regulations. The meeting was chaired by Additional Secretary (Retd.) Md Tahiyat Hossain of the 9th batch, it added.

The meeting discussed the future direction, work plan and organisational procedures of Jabian Club Limited and completed all activities in line with government instructions, read the release.

The founding directors present at the meeting included Md Tahiyat Hossain (9th batch), Abu Hena Md Ameerul Ahsan (10th batch), Md Mahfuzur Rahman Newton (10th batch), Elma Afrin (11th batch), Rokon Siddiqui (11th batch), A K M Anisul Haque Liton (16th batch), Md Toufiqul Islam Mithil (20th batch), S M Shahid (20th batch), A Y M Saif Ullah (21st batch), Md Monirul Hasan Sujan (22nd batch), Md Nadir Hossain Shakil (22nd batch), Abu Saleh Md Mujahidul Islam Badol (23rd batch), Md Abdullahil Aleem (24th batch), Sabrina Chowdhury (25th batch), Md Basir (29th batch), Md Nazrul Islam Chowdhury FCA (34th batch) and Md Niyamul Haque (37th batch).
