DHAKA, Dec 6, 2025 (BSS) - The jatra-troupe New Sumi Opera from Bholanagar of Narsingdi will stage Alomati Premkumar Jatra tomorrow at 6:30 pm at the Experimental Theatre Hall of Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy (BSA) as part of the month-long jatrapala observance following the celebration of the month of victory.

The play is written by Jashim Uddin and directed by Sumi Akter.

Earlier today, Gunai Bibi, written by Jashim Uddin and directed by Ripon Jomadar, was staged by Niha Jatra Unit of Kanaighat.

Organized by the Ministry of Cultural Affairs and managed by Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy, the month-long jatra festival began on December 1 with 36 troupes staging 36 plays, along with a special Victory Day production General Osmani. 

The jatra shows run daily at 6.30 pm with tickets priced at Tk 100.
