DHAKA, Dec 6, 2025 (BSS) - BNP Chairperson’s Adviser Enamul Haque Chowdhury today said that the air ambulance will arrive in Dhaka only after the medical board gives the 'green signal'.

"Qatar's Royal Ambulance will come to Bangladesh following decision of Madam's medical board. They are now prepared in that manner," he told the media.
Enamul Haque is the one who is constantly liaising with the Qatari authorities on this matter on behalf of the BNP.

The BNP leader said, "Now, as soon as the medical board announces its decision, the air ambulance will arrive in Dhaka and take Madam Begum Khaleda Zia to London for advanced treatment. Everything has been arranged by the Qatari authorities."

When asked about the issue of bringing an ambulance from Germany, he clarified, "An ambulance from Germany... that's right. It is not us, but the Qatari authorities who are arranging a state-of-the-art air ambulance from Germany."

Earlier, Khaleda Zia was admitted to the hospital on November 23 after developing breathing difficulties due to a lung infection. Subsequently, she developed pneumonia. She also has pre-existing chronic conditions, including kidney, liver, arthritis, and diabetes issues. As a result, the situation is complex- treating one illness often has an adverse effect on another.
