Madrasa teacher killed in motorcycle accident in Narsingdi

NARSINGDI, Dec 6, 2025 (BSS) - A madrasa teacher was killed after being struck by a speeding motorcycle in Monohardi upazila of the district this evening.

The deceased, identified as Mostafa Joardar, 52, was a resident of Sullabaid area under Ward-6 of Monohardi municipality. He had been serving as a teacher at Purachar Paratola Jalal Uddin Dakhil Madrasa in Katiadi upazila of Kishoreganj.

According to police and local sources, Mostafa was crossing the Dhaka-Kishoreganj regional highway near Monohardi bus stand in the evening when a motorcycle coming from behind hit him, leaving him critically injured. 

Locals rushed him to Monohardi Upazila Health Complex, but as his condition worsened, doctors referred him to Dhaka Medical College Hospital, where he was pronounced dead around 8:30 pm.

Mohammad Mahtabur Rahman, officer-in-charge (investigation) of Monohardi Police Station, confirmed the incident and said that legal action will be taken after the family submits a written complaint. The body is currently at Dhaka Medical College Hospital.
