Man drowns in Chuadanga

CHUADANGA, July 11, 2025 (BSS) - A cattle trader drowned in a pond at Senerhuda village under Jibannagar upazila of the district this afternoon.

The deceased was Ariful Islam Arif, 35, son of Aizel Ali of Majher Para area of the village.

As Arif was taking bath in the water body near his house around 2 pm, he suddenly drowned while he was trying to catch a dead fish in the middle of the pond.

Jibannagar Fire Service personnel recovered the body of Arif from the bottom of the pond. 

Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Jibannagar Police Station Md. Mamun Hossain Biswas confirmed the matter.
