Two held with firearms in Cumilla

CUMILLA, July 22, 2025 (BSS) - A joint force team in a drive arrested two alleged arms traders with four shotguns from two separate areas of the city here early this morning.

The arrested was Md. Abu Haider, 40, of Muradpur area of Cumilla Kotwali Police Station and Mujibar Rahman alias Penu Mirza, 38, of Nurpur area.

A joint force team conducted separate drives in the city and arrested them and recovered four shotguns, a foreign knife, two android phones, two button phones, a passport and an LG cartridge from their possessions, said Mohinul Islam, officer-in-Charge of Cumilla Kotwali Model Police Station.
