Two children killed in separate road accidents in Noakhali

NOAKHALI, July 22, 2025 (BSS) - Two children were killed in two separate road accidents at Companiganj upazila of the district today.

The deceased were Md. Yasin, 7, son of Md. Wasim of Abdur Rashid Majhi's house under Ward no- 5 of Char Fakira union of the upazila and Tamim, 8, son of Sahab Uddin of Zaker's house under Ward No- 3 of the union.

Tamim was struck by a battery-run auto-rickshaw while crossing the road in front of his house this morning. He was rushed to Companiganj Upazila Health Complex, where he succumbed to his injuries on the way.

In a separate incident, Yasin was hit by an auto-rickshaw near his home while on his way to the madrasa. He was critically injured and taken to the same health complex, where doctors declared him dead.

Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Companiganj Police Station Gazi Muhammad Foujul Azim confirmed the incidents.
