FARIDPUR, July 24, 2025 (BSS) - Three people were killed and 25 others injured in a head-on collision between two buses in the Karimpur area under Sadar upazila of the district this morning.

The deceased were identified as bus driver Sabu Sheikh, son of Manik Sheikh of Kershail village in Boalmari upazila, and passenger Abdul Mannan. The identity of a deceased woman could not be confirmed immediately.

The accident occurred around 10 am on the Dhaka-Khulna highway when a Magura-bound bus collided head-on with another bus, leaving three people, including the unidentified woman, dead on the spot and 25 others injured, said Faridpur Superintendent of Police Abdul Jalil.

The injured were rushed to Faridpur Medical College Hospital for treatment, he added.
