SHERPUR, July 24, 2025 (BSS) - A youth was killed in a lightning strike in Mozakanda area of Palashkandi village under Nakla upazila of the district this morning.
The deceased was Md. Sujan Mia, 20, son of Faizal Mia, a resident of the same area.
Lightning followed by a rainstorm hit Sujan around 7 am when he was working in his firm land. He died on the spot, said Habibur Rahman, Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Nakla Police Station.
