BSTI mobile court fines unapproved bakery in Rajshahi

RAJSHAHI, July 24, 2025 (BSS) - A mobile court here today imposed a fine of Taka five thousand for producing and selling ‘cakes, chanachur, biscuits and bread’ without accepting the quality certificate of Bangladesh Standards and Testing Institution (BSTI).

Executive Magistrate Ayan Farhan Shams of Rajshahi District Administration fined ‘Jannat Bakery and Confectionery’ located in Saheb Bazar Zero Point area here as the BSTI Divisional Office, Rajshahi conducted the drive today, said an official release of the Ministry of Industries here.

The BSTI continues such campaign on regular basis in the public interest, the release added.
