Police arrests two with 1600 litre adulterated lubricant at Bangshal

DHAKA, Sept 9, 2025 (BSS) – Police overnight arrested two alleged traders of adulterated lubricants and seized 1600 litres of adulterated petroleum worth of Tk. 3.37 lakh along with related machineries from Bangshal area in the city.

A Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) statement said Bangshal Police Station arrested Saiful Islam and Rakibul Islam, both in their 50s, conducting a raid based on a tipoff at Bhai Bhai Enterprise located at Kazi Alauddin road in Old Dhaka.

The policemen simultaneously seized the adulterated lubricants alongside the manufacturing tools.

The statement said police filed a case against them under Special Power Act.
