KHULNA, Oct 30, 2025 (BSS) - Khulna Metropolitan Police (KMP) arrested five 
drug peddlers with 28 litres of liquor from the Baramashil Road area in 
Khulna Sadar Police Station last night.

A KMP press release, issued by Khondokar Ahsan Ahmed, assistant commissioner 
of the KMP (Media), said here today.

The arrested were identified as Palash Kumar Das, 41, son of Probir Das of 
Samsur Rahman Road, Taimun Sheikh, 37, son of Md. Aktar Hossain of Purba 
Baniakhama, Debrata Dutta, 44, son of Dulal Dutta of Iqbal Nagar, Ujjal Sen, 
40, son of late Shyamal Sen of Dolkhola and Kawsar Alam, 60, son of late 
Shafi Alam of Munshipara Second Lane, all the residents of Khulna Sadar Thana 
area.

A case was filed under the Narcotics Control Act with Khulna Sadar Police 
Station in this connection, the release added.
