KHULNA, Oct 30, 2025 (BSS) - A colorful traffic awareness rally was organised by Khulna Metropolitan Police (KMP) at the city's Moylapota intersection on Thursday (today) to prevent road accidents and ease traffic congestion.

Deputy Police Commissioner (Traffic) Shafiqul Islam attended the rally as the chief guest.
 
He urged the drivers not to drive recklessly near schools and colleges, avoid carrying passengers beside the driver, refrain from blocking intersections, and to never operate vehicles while tired or stop randomly to pick up passengers.

The Additional Police Commissioner said that illegal parking at intersections and on busy streets was a major cause of traffic congestion in the city.
 
He reminded that both drivers and passengers represent families, and a 
driver's carelessness could bring tragedy to many households.
